UCI School of Social Ecology

At the University of California, Irvine’s School of Social Ecology, I was the primary writer and editor for all communications content. In addition to drafting an array of press releases and features about faculty and graduate student research, I wrote all the stories for the spring 2018 inaugural issue of Embark magazine which soon contributed to my promotion into a role with greater responsibilities at UCI’s Paul Merage School of Business.

Here is a selection of some of my favorites:

Proposition 47 not responsible for recent upticks in crime across California, UCI study says” (March 7, 2018) (fact sheet, which I created)

Cybersphere of influence: Social ecologists probe positive, negative effects of digital technology” (Dec. 18, 2017)

Immigration does not raise crime, UCI-led study finds, refuting common assumption” (June 27, 2017)

Older, denser neighborhoods offer better access to everyday destinations, UCI study finds” (May 3, 2017)

Hallucinations in an 8 by 10 cell: Do prisoners sent to isolation ever recover?” (April 28, 2017)
